Szczecinek is a picturesque town located by Lake Trzesiecko and among the green woods of the Drawsko Lake District, having rich though turbulent history.

Most of Szczecinek’s monuments are 19th century buildings with characteristic eclectic combinations of architectural styles, such as Neo-Renaissance, Neo-Gothic and Neo-Baroque. The beginning of the 20th century marked its stigma leaving the fortifications of Wał Pomorski (Pommernstellung) in the neighboring woods.

Today Szczecinek is a beautiful and peaceful town which attracts many tourists with its unique charm.

Those who long for relax are sure to find here romantic alleys in the park, jazz concerts and lovely lake-side cafés.

Those, however, who would like to spend time actively will be excited to enjoy the well-prepared tourist-accommodation base. The Sports Facilities Complex, the Tennis Center, the “Aqua-Tur” Swimming Pool Complex, water ski lift and many others are waiting for the adventure enthusiasts.

Szczecinek is a fine alternative to crowded Masuria and Baltic Sea beaches. It is a romantic town whose monuments enwrapped in the lake breeze and delightful nooks await to be discovered.
